Marketing Manager

We are looking for a creative, team-oriented Marketing Manager to help lead the Company’s marketing, public relations and advertising function. This position will be the sole dedicated marketing professional at the Company, and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The Marketing Manager will play a lead role in developing and executing the Company’s marketing strategy and programs across our various business segments (Digital Health, Product Identity and Hyperspectral Imaging), together with the senior executive team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and update corporate collateral materials including presentation templates, branding guidelines, corporate websites and social media channels, product literature, signage, trade show booths, and other marketing materials.
  • Create, capture and develop marketing assets for use in all promotional channels; manage outside creative firms for creation of same
  • Manage the Company’s social media channels to develop and increase customer and industry engagement.
  • Coordinate and manage corporate and industry events such as trade shows, conferences, customer, investor and advisor meetings, including supporting the sales team presence at such events.
  • Assist with the creation and formation of advertising campaigns and negotiate space in trade and other publications for placement.
  • Maintain and update the Company’s website, including developing customer engagement tools, updating job postings, and coordinating in-bounding inquiries with across the Company.
  • Design, create and manage all marketing production related projects.
  • Support development and writing of industry white papers, trade articles and product literature.
  • Support CRM programs as required.
  • Monitor security, pharmaceutical, digital health, brand protection, optical imaging, and other related industry news and developments for competitive analytics and business development opportunities.
  • Develop internal communication programs and tools to promote a strong, effective corporate culture across the Company.
  • Research and obtain latest industry reports, competitive analysis, and market sector trends and reports summarized results to senior executive team.
  • Performing other tasks to support the Emeryville office and other teams as required.

This is a full-time position based in the Company’s Emeryville, CA offices.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong design and writing skills and experience with developing and creating written, visual and video marketing materials.
  • Strong understanding of social media and on-line marketing strategies and channels, particularly with respect to understanding measurable and quantitative return on investment from marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to create and provide copyright material and edit/proof contributed articles and other company generated content.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to work independently and with a diverse, cross-functional team
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, PhotoShop, Illustrator, iMovie or similar video editing tools, Twitter, LinkedIn, and WordPress preferred.
  • Team player with ability to build consensus and enthusiasm behind creative ideas.
  • Hands-on mindset

Desired Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, publications or communications with a technology product or services company.
  • Hands-on experience in marketing, advertising, public relations or a related field.
  • Experience in formatting, negotiation, and placement of advertising in printed and digital media.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, product security, electronics or other major manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Previous experience with issuing and writing press releases a plus.
